Duvel is a 100% pure and natural beer, with no additives or preservative. Its surprisingly high alcohol content (8.5%), huge, creamy head, delicate effervescence and silky smooth mouth feel is what distinguishes Duvel from other Belgian beers.
After bottling, the beer continues to ferment for a fortnight in the warm cellars of the brewery. Finally, the beer is chilled for 6 weeks in the cold cellars.
This extra long maturing process is unique and contributes to the exquisite flavour and pure aroma of Duvel.
After the 90 day brewing process the beer is released. At Duvel, patience and time are essential virtues.
It is a beer brewed with the utmost patience and passion. Drink it with love.
Duvel Tripel Hop 2017. Ever since 2007 the brewers at Duvel have been busy innovating with a third hop variety to give Duvel a surprising twist and some extra bitterness. Each spring this results in the launch of a unique Tripel Hop, which complements the rest of the Duvel range.
Six Tripel Hops later, in 2016, Duvel went in search of the ultimate Duvel Tripel Hop. More than 5,000 fans tasted and voted, and Citra was clearly the favorite.
The Duvel Tripel Hop with citra not only won a gold medal at the Brussels Beer Challenge, it was also awarded the consumer trophy at the Zythos Beer Festival.
Our brewers do not simply add a third hop variety when creating the Tripel Hop, we also apply a special process of dry-hopping. In this case, besides adding the usual hops during the cooking process, extra hop cones are added at a later stage in the brewery process (during the lagering process). This intensifies and refines the hop aromas in the finished beer.
The aromatic third hop is grown in the Yakima Valley in Washington and enriches the flavor palate with fresh hints of grapefruit and tropical fruit.
Duvel Tripel Hop 2016 is exciting and exceptional.
Each year Duvel lovers await with great anticipation to discover which 3rd hop will be selected to create that year’s unique Duvel Tripel Hop. The hop selected for 2016 is HBC 291.

Just unpacked by The Belgian Beer Company, Duvel Tripel Hop 2016 sees the traditional hop varieties of Saaz-Saaz and Styrian Golding combined with harmonious perfection to produce an intensely aromatic, richer and more hoppy Duvel.

Liefmans Goudenband is one of the most unique brown beers in the world. Originally called ‘Iron Band‘, a reference to the iron rings around the beer barrel, it was renamed Liefmans Goudenband and it got a champagne cork.
It is fermented in open copper vats, after which it may be matured in the cellars in other vats. An aged strong Belgian brown ale, it is made in open vats, with beer of mixed fermentation. Young beer is left to mature for four to 12 months in the cellar.
Mature beer is then fortified with younger beer, so the fermentation process starts up again. Only then is it blended and bottled, giving each bottle it’s very own characteristics. Goudenband is superb for further home cellaring, allowing the taste, aroma and body of the beer to continue to evolve.
